Samoa is made up of nine islands of which Upolu with the capital of Apia, is the most populated of the Islands. Upolu offers a wide range of natural riches beyond white sand beaches and blue lagoons. These include an ample supply of excellent fishing, diving and surfing spots along all the coastlines. Pacific Blue depart daily from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane which makes Samoa an easy an accessible destination.

WHERES THE SURF
Coconuts Resort is 45 minutes from the capital Apia and has several great breaks within paddling distance of the hotel and even more a short boat ride away. Further west along the edge of the turquoise lagoon are two or three other breaks. Heading east down the beach from Coconuts are at least two more breaks, including a left called Siumu, lying offshore from the village of the same name. This is a good paddle from the beach, out a reef cut with a strong, outgoing current.

The largest south swells usually come between April and September with consistent trade winds from the southeast. From around October—March the swells are a bit smaller on the south, but the light winds and the chance of scoring the north side of the island more than make up for it. There are no surf shops here, so definitely bring extras. Guest are advised to bring reef booties and plenty of sunscreen.
WHERE TO STAY
Coconuts Beach Resort Samoa is the classic, laid-back tropical holiday destination, located at Maninoa near Siumu village. There are several accommodation styles available at Coconuts from garden studios to over the-water fales. All rooms are air conditioned.
