Nadi

NADI: (pronounced 'Nandi') Nadi will be your international port of arrival. The town is well developed with a variety of hotels available from budget to 5 star. Depending on your arrival time it may be necessary to make an overnight stop. Nadi is your transit point to the Coral Coast or to a sea of islands. Travel to the islands is by aircraft with Air Pacific or Air Fiji, or alternatively by powered launch.

Coral Coast

From Nadi, you travel by road along the southern coastline of Viti Levu to an area known as the Coral Coast. Off-shore from here is the world famous Beqa (pronounced Ben-ga) Lagoon. There are numerous dive sites including "Side Streets" with its lush canyons of gorgonians, tunnel walls festooned with multi-coloured soft corals, and myriads of tropical fish. There's "Caesar's Rock" with 10 spectacular coral heads, "Coral Gardens", Beqa's best display of hard corals and tropical fish and the Wreck of the Tasu No.2 just to name a few. BEQA LAGOON RESORT

Far from the rustic huts we were expecting, Beqa Island Resort's private bures (villas) were large and luxurious. Tucked in the coconut trees just a few yards back from the beach, each bure is elegantly furnished with rattan, bamboo and decorated with colourful splashes of fabric and works of art.

Every bure is a mini-suite with a spectacular marble lined bath, a king poster bed and a sitting room with one twin bed and settee. Every front porch has a table, lounge chairs and a beautiful view; and if you walk a few feet in any direction, you can find a cozy hammock to hunker down in with your a favourite book or companion.

Kadavu

Kadavu (pronounced Kan-da-vu) is the 4^th largest island in the Fiji group and is approximately 100km south of the main island of Viti Levu. Located on Fiji's second largest island of Vanua Levu, Savusavu is one hours flying time from Nadi. The town has an exciting history and remains an interesting legacy of the colonial period. DAKU RESORT

Daku Resort is located on the island of Vanua Levu. Known as the soft coral capital of the world, the reef around the island provides a once in a lifetime experience. Diving here is a wondrous experience, as you swim at some of the world’s most abundant coral reefs teeming with multi-coloured fish and other forms of sea life. There’s easy access to a wide variety of sites: shallow reefs with spectacular plate corals, coral pinnacles topped with clouds of purple anthias and damsel fish, deeper reefs with steep walls dropping away to 800 feet and more where you may see some of the larger species. The joy of diving in Fiji lies in its clear, warm waters and the easy access to the sites; most of them are 15 – 25 minutes in a boat.

For the more budget concious we have spacious dormitories, all of which have ceiling fans and ensuite bathrooms, plus a large veranda overlooking the water.

Walindi Plantation Resort

Few places can claim to have some of the best reef diving in the world.

Kimbe Bay is endowed with massive reef systems rising from a deep sea floor. The shallow domain between the reef and the surface attracts masses of fish and around the reef walls you will see hammerheads, barracuda, giant trevally and dog tooth tuna. WALINDI PLANTATION RESORT

Accommodation is in spacious self contained Beachfront Bungalows or Plantation House rooms, both with private bathrooms. The resort was developed in 1983 out of the interest of visiting divers who recognised the incredible quality of diving. The tariff includes all meals and daily laundry service, while recreational facilities include swimming pool, kayaks, beach volleyball, boating and scuba diving. There is a full service dive shop with equipment hire and 3 dive boats.

MV FEBRINA LIVEABOARD

Febrina is 72 foot long and fitted with every convenience to make your dive trip an enjoyable and memorable experience. there are 6 cabins all with private bathrooms, each accommodating two passengers. The vessel is fully air-conditioned and top class gourmet meals are provided. The Febrina is a seaborne platform that provides easy access to spectacluar dive areas.
