About Allways Dive Expeditions
Allways Dive Expeditions is a specialist dive tour wholesaler and travel agency providing tours and travel arrangements for groups and individuals to destinations around the world. It is part of the Allways Travel group of companies and was established in 1977 in Melbourne, Australia. The organization brings together staff with a wealth of diving experience.
The company uses state-of-the-art equipment and a worldwide communications network to provide a full range of services. We handle all aspects of travel from airline reservation, tickets, transfers, travel insurance, to on-site conference management of large groups. We are the official agency for the South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society whose annual conference (held at various Pacific or Asian destinations) attracts up to 200 diving medical practitioners and their families. We are fully licensed and are members of IATA and AFTA (Australian Federation of Travel Agents) We will prepare obligation-free personalized quotations for individuals or groups to any destination - just email the bookings/enquiry form. Our Staff
Ian Lockwood Ian is the Managing Director of Allways Dive Expeditions. Ian joined Allways Travel in 1989 in the retail section and moved to diving in 1990. He became a certified diver in the same year and has a keen interest in schooling pelagics and the history of World War II wrecks. Ian regularly leads groups to various destinations and has dived in New Caledonia, Tahiti, Papua New Guinea, Fijian Islands, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, Micronesia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Australia's Great Barrier Reef and Victoria. Ian has also travelled extensively during his career in the industry and has visited Bolivia, Peru, Brazil, Paraguay, United Kingdom and Europe, Hong Kong, China, Malaysia , New Zealand and the USA where he spent 10 month's in Atlanta, Georgia. Geoff Skinner Geoff owns a portion of the company and is actively involved in operations and sales and marketing. His career in the dive industry started when he became the importer and distributor of Oceanic Dive Equipment in Australia in 1972. Geoff has seen a tremendous evolution in both the equipment and travel side of the industry. He regularly visits our destinations and is always on the lookout for what is new and interesting. Geoff has logged over 5000 dives and is a qualified dive master. He has an in-depth knowledge of Australian dive destinations (Great Barrier Reef/Coastal New South Wales/Western Australia/Victoria/South Australia and Tasmania), New Zealand, the Maldives, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Malaysia & Borneo, Papua New Guinea, Truk, Palau, Yap, Pohnpei, Saipan, Guam, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Fiji, Easter Island, Tahiti, Chile, Hawaii and California. Geoff is an accomplished underwater videographer and has been a consultant on many films. Geoff leads a number of groups to various destinations every year including the annual South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society conference. Abbigail Steen Abbigail joined Allways Dive Expeditions in Mid 2008 and has for the last year been performing general office duties. Abbigail assists with all the administrative components of your dive trips and more than not is the friendly voice that answers your calls. During her time at Allways Dive Abbigail has quickly developed a passion for travel and specifically the diving industry and will commence sales call in 2009. She looks forward to finding new ways for Allways Dive to assist you with all aspects of travel and trip promotion. | |
Nicolas Etoc Nico is the new French diver of the team! He grew up in Belgium and started diving in the cold waters of Europe. After finishing his degree in International Business, he decided to travel to Asia where he became a divemaster. After diving in Thailand, Malaysia and the Gili Islands, he moved back Europe where he continued his career in the Tourism industry. Nico has worked for major tour operators in London and has recently moved to sunny Melbourne where he is discovering the beautiful waters of Port Phillip Bay. He’ll be delighted to organise your next trip with Allways Dive and has already promised to keep his French accent. |

Caroline Swinburne Caroline returned to Allways in 2011 after a 3 year hiatus with a invigorated passion for dive travel. Having dived in Vanuatu, Fiji, Palau, Yap, Borneo, California and all up the east coast of Australia, and travelled in Europe, Canada, Asia, USA and NZ, she is a well-travelled consultant. Caroline started her diving career as a Divemaster 2001 in Adelaide, then progressed to Instructor and shop staff and spent 6 months working on liveaboard boats in Cairns. She moved to Melbourne in 2006 and since then has managed a dive shop and worked in a dive resort management program.
